Photographing Glass
For the first photo I took I sat a Gin glass on a sheet of glass that had a black surface underneath it, when I had this set up I put a sheet of white paper directly behind the Gin glass. The lamp I used had an adjustable shade on it so I pointed it towards the white wall behind the Gin Glass (as shown in the below photograph).
This was the photo produced when I followed the above steps. I like this photo more than the one further below because I think it has more of a warmer tone.

For the next photo I done pretty much the exact same steps but instead of having the lamp face the wall I adjusted it so that it was shining against the white page.

This was the photo produced when I adjusted the lamp to the opposite angle. It is a bit brighter than the first photo that was produced.
